HELP EAST HAMILTON STAY CLEAN! Is recent flu sickness partly being caused by the lack of cleanliness in East Hamilton? By: Soteria Burks, Sharrah Burks, and Alondra Soto

      We all know what has been happening recently here at East Hamilton and the surrounding schools….everyone has been affected by the flu! Schools have been canceled, children have been out of school left and right, and people have died from the flu.  According to WRCB.com in Hamilton county 7 students have already died, and it's starting to scare a lot of people in school. It’s obviously, to keep the flu away we have to keep the schools clean. However, according to some students here at East Hamilton, the school hasn't been as clean as it should be for the students to stay healthy. A senior at East Hamilton, Makahla Smith, says “The fault is partially the students and the lack of cleaning faculty. Some students don't flush the toilet, and leave messes on the tables in the cafeteria, but on the other hand I feel like a lot of the custodians are not cleaning properly. Most times there isn't even soap and paper towels in the bathroom, and they never try to wipe off the tables in the cafeteria. The best thing to do is make sure everyone stays sanitized and informed.” East Hamilton students know it's important that everyone washes their hands and make sure you do your part, and always speak up for a change, so that the leaders can make change for us to have a better and cleaner school.
