Senior Survival Checklist by Soteria Burks, Sharrah Burks, and Alondra Soto

Congratulation seniors! It is now the beginning of March and graduation is only two months away! That being said, there is so much to make sure you have done so that this year ends smoothly and so that you receive your diploma and have no mishaps. Here is a list of things you must make sure you have done…

1. Make sure you have applied to college
   

• This may sound obvious, but believe it or not, there are still some seniors who have not applied yet, so make sure if you want to go, please apply ASAP, because most of the applications are closed now.
  

2.)  Make sure you have applied to scholarships

• Continue looking for scholarships. There  are so many websites such as Fastweb, Capex, and Unigo.
  

3.) Start making your decisions soon….

• College financial aid rewards are all coming in this month. Make sure you choose your college and weigh your options.
  

4.) Make sure you start ordering yearbooks!

• They are available online on the East Hamilton website, it's always a  great memory maker.   
  

5.) Get your prom attire  ASAP

• Prom is coming up on April 28th; that is VERY soon. there are tons of places to buy prom dresses or rent suits, but make sure you get them soon because they are disappearing off the rack fast.
  

6.)  Pay your senior fees

• Senior fees are due April 20th,  the cost is $50.00
  

7.)  Get graduation invitations

• Make sure you have you have your invitations to invite your family and friends to your special day! Some good websites are Shutterfly and Photo Affections.
  

8.)   Dorm room stuff!!

• Make sure you start buying some dorm room stuff so that everything is there for your college move in day!
  

9.) Finally…. DO NOT HAVE SENIORITIS

• Finish off the year with and bang and don't give up or let your GPA drop. You want to make sure you can get into the college you want!
